Ellen Carlson

Ellen picked the fiddle out of a closet full of instruments that her dad had.  Being the 4th of 6 children, the pickings were getting slim and she sure wasn’t going to play the banjo.  The only reason she practiced was to play in her brothers’ band so they wouldn’t get all of the attention.  She went on to play in other country, rock, square dance and swing bands.  Todd “discovered” her at a fiddle contest where she played some funk tune that the judges didn’t like and she won 2nd place.  She had a tie died shirt on though so he thought he would give her a call….
