Stand Still (Kneeland-Jones) Emus Way Music / BMI ©2003

Fires are burning again as the shining light stands still

Old man plowing, keeps his ancient shadow close at hand

And a quarter turn around the wheel, it’s time to plant the seeds and sew the field

Bringing in a new moon with a bottle of mead and a passion for a new day

Sight down a stone row, while the sun comes up over the rise

And the water will warm and the sea bring the fish back to the bay

Call of the morning, birds are singing sweet songs in the wind

Colors shining, smell of dew wakes the morning air

And the path around the circle will lead us to the same place next year
